This is Bear Lake in the Cuchara region of SE Colorado. Snow was falling gently over the iced over highland pond last week. Looks like I had a little bit on the lens too. There’s a smudge or two on the photo. Oh well, maybe that’ll help give a feeling of being there. Many of the high roads and summit views were still blocked by snow. The path to this site was cleared just a day earlier.

We returned recently from a vacation in this area so, over the next week or so, expect a virtual visit to the mountains, Great Sand Dunes Natl. Park, and places along the way.
