Nature Journal

Writing Wild

Writing W.I.L.D. is an act of self-authorship. It is remembering that we are beings of wonder, intuition, love & daring (W.I.L.D.) who possess the ability to become active creators of our own lives. Writing W.I.L.D. invites participants to journey into their inner wildscapes to uncover forgotten dreams, unbridled potential, and their innate creativity and wisdom.

Writing W.I.L.D. encompasses a variety of authorship practices: from the creation of nature and dream journals, inner child devotionals and ecostories, to Envision, Create, Fulfill (EnCreFu) roadmaps, memoirs and narrative reframing exercises. Whether it’s an outdoor Ramble & (W)rite session or a seasonal workshop that inspires you to write the next chapter of your life, Writing W.I.L.D. experiences are practices to honor the sacred stories you carry within and are here to share.

“Writing practice embraces your whole life…It’s a place that you can come to wild and untamed…”

Natalie Goldberg, Writing Down the Bones: Freeing the Writer Within (p. 13)

What They’re Saying,

“I have participated in a writing group with Kristy for over a year. Kristy offers insightful advice and challenges your creativity… Her encouragement and mentoring drives you to improve. Kristy's talent in her own writing is her ability to include metaphors and similes to show emotions and as descriptions. Working with her is a joy.”

—Kathleen P.

“Kristy’s passion is infectious. I often try to channel her when I need to focus and write eloquently.”

— Kristin N.
